Hatha Vinyasa Flow
-
Hatha – Ha meaning Sun, tha – meaning moon Vinyasa meaning breath synchronised. A perfect yoga style catering to all level’s of curiosity.
Each class is individual and sequenced, with an element, theme, peak pose and purpose. To move in a more graceful, connected way, my classes are constantly reinventing the journey of compassionate curiosity though movement and release. I offer a variety of options, and I encourage each participant to listen to their own inner voice.
Hatha Vinyasa classes are synonymous with movement. Transitioning in and out of postures is the most obvious one, and even in stillness. Vinyasa is represented by the beat of your heart and the inhalation and exhalation of your breath. Breath initiates the movement of Hatha Vinyasa, which is why I refer to my practice as a “breath-to-movement” practice.
For a deeper understanding:
Hatha yoga is often slower moving than Vinyasa yoga. It can be challenging, stimulating, or gentle, depending on the class. This type of yoga integrates the breath while holding poses for an extended period, with the intention of relaxing deeper into yourself.
Vinyasa yoga connects one posture to the next using the breath. Also known as Flow yoga, this practice encompasses the flow and linking from one posture to the next.

Aerial Yoga
-
Aerial yoga is a fun and liberating practise that builds strength, motivates, increases confidence and invites inner trust.
It draws from the alignment and techniques of yoga, using a low hanging aerial sling to aid in moving through traditional yoga postures. The support of the aerial sling allows your body to access deeper stretches, while maintaining a level of relaxation. One of the primary features of using a yoga hammock is its ability to decompress the spine and mitigate joint stress as you practice stretches. The ‘weightless’ aspect of these classes assist in allowing you to access a wider range of movement, moving through poses that would otherwise be restricted. Aerial classes are perfect for beginners and yoga practitioners of all levels.
The benefits of aerial are increased muscular flexibility, joint mobility, realignment of the spine, great for core and shoulder conditioning. Aerial yoga is the perfect full body workout in the support of not only the hammock but a patient and non- judgemental environment.

Yoga Nidra

Yoga Nidra is a powerful relaxation technique that can help you connect with your inner self and find peace in the present moment. Its slow and gentle yoga movement, combined with soulful sounds and guided meditation, helping you release tension, soothe your nervous system, and cultivate a deep sense of calm and well-being.
This meditative practice allows you to relax into a deep, comfortable stretch whilst quieting your mind to the sound of resonating bowls. Not only does yoga nidra help you achieve a feeling of deep relaxation and surrendered peacefulness, but the addition of sound bowls helps to enhance the experience.
As you move through the asanas, you'll feel the vibration of the bowls resonating through your body, bringing you into a heightened state of awareness and relaxation.

One and One Yoga
-
A one-on-one crafted yoga session can offer you a program that's tailored specifically to your needs. We can look at routines that incorporate the poses you’d like to work deeper on and help you to work towards your most ambitious yoga goals. This way, you can break the patterns of self-doubt, taking your yoga practice to the next level. I can adapt your programme around your schedule, location and yoga/body movement goals. Initially we will meet and I will get a brief overview of any medical conditions, specific yoga-based objectives and wellness aspirations you have. Then an appointment to meet with you in my studio, your home, at work, or whatever appropriate location meets your needs.
Why take crafted lessons?
Private yoga lessons offer comfortable, flexible and convenient options. My lessons will give you comprehensive instruction while at the same time providing you with personalised teachings that you may be struggling with to find within a group class.
For beginners and for those who may not be comfortable practicing poses in front of others. Private instruction is optimal as it gives you the opportunity to learn and improve your technique in a more convenient and easy-going environment.
Advanced yogis can also benefit from the one-on-one nature of private sessions — and so can everyone in between!
A private yoga class is a chance to deepen your practice and expand your horizons. If any physical injuries or other setbacks hinder group practice, this is also the perfect opportunity to benefit from individual instruction.

Chair Yoga
-
Chair yoga is a gentle yoga in which movements can be achieved while seated in a chair. Ideal for those with less mobility.
Improving stiffness, circulation, and creating a happy mental state are just a few of the benefits that chair yoga can provide. Chair yoga is flexible in its ability to be practiced in a multitude of settings. The security and comfort of the chair allows the nervous system and hormonal system to work together, nourishing each and every cell in your body.
Chair yoga is perfect for those with weakness in mobility, balance, vision, and/or coordination.
For non-beginners, chair yoga aids you to get into positions that further develop flexibility and strength. For beginners, chair poses help you get started, by making some postures more accessible.
Originally introduced to the fitness world as a modified version of Hatha yoga for the elderly, and individuals with health implications; chair yoga has become a beneficial fitness option.
Advised to check in with your GP beforehand (if underlying health problems).
